Every app runs as 2 replicas behind a load balancer, so if one replica fails or is restarted during a deploy, traffic keeps flowing to the other with no downtime. Plans with a dedicated PostgreSQL instance also run 2 database replicas, keeping your data available through a node failure. This is included on every plan at no extra cost.
The Growth, Business and Pro plans each include a dedicated PostgreSQL instance with 2 replicas. The Free plan does not include a database, so you would connect an external one or upgrade when you need it.
App Hosting is fully managed: you push code, we handle servers, builds, SSL, and scaling. VPS gives you a raw server with full root access where you manage everything yourself.
